'99 foi o ano em que vimos partir Stanley Kubrick, que nos deixou uma ultima e genial obra, Eyes Wide Shut. No cinema foi ainda o ano de The Sixth Sense; Magnolia, do regresso de Star Wars e da estreia de Sam Mendes com American Beauty.
